A little bit batty.

I've never been a huge holiday decorator, but since deciding to paint our (rented) townhouse, I've been feeling the need to decorate everything. The curtains, the headboard, the numerous trips to Lowes to contemplate the various shades of cranberry red.... and now I'm just getting antsy for the holidays.

Halloween is usually just a speedbump on the way to the real holidays, but I was thinking it might be fun to get into the holiday spirit a little early this year and do some Halloween decorating. A 10 minute Etsy search yielded the following results... I am thinking the upside down bats might look perfect over our tv. How cute are these??

Thank you for all of your suggestions on the window panels the other day.... I found exactly what I wanted today in a random Target!

And here's the plum curtains against my honey colored blanket:

Last night we also perused the paint aisle in Lowe's, though with the addition of the plum window panels, I am not sure what color to do the walls... suggestions, please!

Decor Help Needed

I am looking for plum window panels.... any ideas on where to find them? I struck out at Bed, Bath & Beyond, Target, and Linens & Things.

Also, I was working all weekend (ew) and totally didn't post the winner of last week's giveaway. I'm only counting the 31 entries from before Saturday at noon, so no last minute sneak-ins.... I'm posting the winner (for real) bright and early tomorrow!
