Hey, Fatty!

The other day at work we had a going away party for a colleague. I was wearing a pink shirt from Motherhood Maternity that clearly showed my bump.

A co-worker came up to me and asked if she could touch my bump. I am not 100% sure what the fascination is with other people's bumps and why you would ever want to touch it, but I said sure.

A student, who was standing close by, then says "You're pregnant?!"

I say yes.

She then says, "Oh my God! I thought you were just getting kind of chunky!"

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. And for some reason, that comment didn't bother me nearly as much as the ever popular "Was it on purpose?". Because that one really fries me. For the record, in case you are still wondering, yes, it was on purpose.

Please don't mind that I insert my hands on baby H. without asking.... and in case you were wondering there's no mistaking the bump for chunkiness.... Stupid kid!

i have to say, thinking about when I might be pregnant, whether intentional or not--I can't imagine asking someone else if 'it' was on purpose!
(i mean, I might wonder--but I would never ask!)

Oh I am collecting many things that I will later have to post. It's like because you have this belly that no rules apply and you can say whatever you want. The belly touching freaks me out, if someone touches it who didn't ask first I will rub there belly too and I get weird looks, don't like it huh? LOL

Since my hubby and I were married 8 months ago when people found out I was preggo I got 'wow that was fast a lot' I guess I didn't get the 'proper baby time line' manual at the wedding? LOL
