Giveaway: Souper You Debut

Back in December, Progresso contacted me about a contest they were doing and asked if I'd like to be a part of it. Obviously I said yes - who doesn't love Progresso soup, right?

Like every other person on the face of this Earth, I'm trying to lose those last 5 pounds (or 10, whatever), and when better to really kick off your weight loss than in the new year? Apparently Progresso is on to us, because they've created the Souper You Debut.

The contest offers a chance to win a trip for 2 to New York for a make-over and $1000 shopping spree - can you think of a better way to celebrate the new year? Me either.

So how do you enter? It's pretty easy. Click here to be taken to Progresso's website, submit a 200 word essay on why you love Progresso soup and why you'd love a make-over, and lastly, submit a photo that reinforces your essay. Then you just wait till you win, and then head off to NY the weekend of May 21-23.

Easy, right?

Oh, what's that? You don't know why you love Progresso soup and therefore cannot write an essay on that topic?

Want to win a few free cans so you can taste the goodness yourself?

When Progresso contacted me about this contest, they also sent me a huge care package of 15 cans of Light and 100 calorie soups, a nice soup mug, and an electronic jump rope (to keep track of those calories burnt!). Look at all this loot:

They sent me a variety of both Light soup and 100 calorie soup, which is great because they both fit into the Weight Watchers plan:

The first one I tried out was Chicken and Dumplings, and while the veggies were a little mushy, the taste was spot on. Not too salty, nice chunks of chicken, and dough-y dumplings. Yum. And the best part was that I was able to eat the whole can and not feel like I just ate my weight in sodium. Yesterday for lunch I had the Southwest Style Vegetable, and that is probably my favorite. It takes like there's some taco mix in there, and the veggies were yummy. The beans fill you up, and the whole can is 1 WW point. 1 POINT!!! That's nothing!

Because they're so low in calories, I've been eating a whole can with a Boca chicken patty every day for lunch, and I really am satisfied after lunch. Not too full, and def. not hungry at all. Just right; and I can make it through till almost 4pm before I need a little snack to get me through till dinner. The best part, obviously, is that there are so many varieties that even though I've been eating soup every day, it hasn't been the same kind every day and that really helps to shake things up.

So what's in it for you? Progresso has offered to send one of my readers a gift pack containing 2 cans of Progresso soup, a soup mug, and an electronic jump rope!

Hi there!! One of my girlfriends did Weight Watchers last year and every time we were in the lunch room she was opening up a can of Progresso Soup. She lost like 25 pounds, I was amazed.

I'd like to check it out.

Thanks.
