Believe the hype.

On a day to day basis, my make-up routine is pretty simple:
  1. Conceal HUGE under-eye raccoon circles

  2. Make eyelashes as big as possible utilizing various types of mascara

  3. Swipe on Aquaphor ointment in lieu of lip gloss

I honestly can't be bothered with anything else. When I'm going out, I do the whole "smokey eye" thing, and sometimes I even sauce it up a little and wear fake eyelashes (Dear Lord, MAC lashes make me look like a porn star). But for the most part, I'm good with concealer, mascara, and Aquaphor.

That being said, I am a mascara whore. I buy a new mascara every time I'm in a RiteAid, Walgreens, CVS, or grocery store. It's a sick addiction and I should probably be going to meetings for it. Why the copious amounts of mascara tubes in my bathroom? Because I'm always trying to find something to make my lashes bigger, longer, and more full. I also like to replace my mascara every month or so, long before it starts to get flaky or clumpy. I told you; I should be going to meetings.

Seeing as I'm a self-proclaimed connoisseur of mascara, I'm here to tell you the good news - the vibrating mascara wand in the new Maybelline mascara is un-freaking-believable! I've never had such defined lashes in my life - honestly, the effect is very similar to wearing fake lashes - my lashes were long as all get out. The formula isn't flaky at all and lengthens like you wouldn't believe, but it's not really designed for creating fuller lashes. To fix that, I swiped on a plumping formula by L'Oreal and then immediately put on a second coat using the Maybelline vibrating stuff. SCORE!

So believe the hype, ladies. This mascara is completely worth it.

I wanted to try this but am terrified I will poke my eyeball out! I just got the collagen one by Loreal (you know, the Eva Longoria one) and I like it! Maybe I will get the nerve to risk my eyeballs soon...anything for big lashes!
