7 months later...

I hit my goal at Weight Watchers.

I finally freaking hit my goal. Thank God, because paying for WW was kind of getting expensive.

I love charts and tidy little lists, so here's how that whole 60 lb weight loss went down:

  • In 38 weeks of pregnancy, I put on a hot 60 lbs.
  • In the first 6 weeks postpartum, I lost 40 lbs. FORTY POUNDS in SIX WEEKS. Holy crap. I assume the majority of that weight was my almost 9 lb baby, a heavy duty placenta, and a crapload of water weight. I mean, my ankles were like coke cans...
  • I started Weight Watchers at 6 weeks postpartum. I was nursing, and I got so many points that I will admit I didn't keep track as well as I should have. However, I did lose 9 pounds in the first 6 weeks on WW.
  • In total, I lost 20 lbs on WW in 24 weeks. I will admit that the last 6 weeks were a struggle... my pants fit, so the last 4 lbs weren't a huge deal. Except I really wanted to hit goal... so I sucked it up and did everything I could to lose the last 0.8 lb.
  • May 27 - GOAL Weight, which also happens to be my pre-pregnancy weight.
So I officially lost the weight and just have to maintain that weight (within 2 lbs +/-) for the next 6 weeks. Then I can stop paying!!! And I can spend that $40 a month on size 2 pants at the GAP. Fun fact - that happened on Saturday. I've been wearing size 4 pants but tried on a 2 for shits and giggles. They fit. Better than the 4s. I almost shit myself, then I bought them. It was a glorious day.

Even though I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight (which coincidentally is the lightest I've even been in my adult life), I still have some toning to do. I need to find time to work out. I want to say "I need to find time to work out, but I'd rather be fooling around on Pinterest", but I'm not going to say it. I'm going to think it, though. And while I'm thinking it, I will be dragging my husband, dog, and baby on an after dinner walk.

The plan is to start slow with post-dinner walks. It'll be good for us, and even better for our pup (who turned 7 on Friday). Once we get into that routine, maybe I'll feel the urge to do more. Or at least, I hope. We went on a walk today around 7:30p, and it nice. The sun had gone down enough that it wasn't blazing hot out, but it was still warm enough for the baby to enjoy the warm air on her bare feet.

Baby toes are so munch-able... did you know?

awesome! Congrats!!!! I'm hoping to follow in your footsteps and lose the baby weight fast. I've gained a bunch of weight but I'm SOOOOO swollen that it's hard to tell what will come right off and what won't. I'm so swollen I feel like the skin at my ankles is going to start bleeding from stretching so much. Ugh! thanks for the inspiration!!!!

Congrats. What a way to give Jennifer Hudson a run for her money.
