10 10 10

When my midwife told me she bet I wouldn't make it to my due date (someone is cooking up nice and plump, apparently), I really thought I'd have a 10.10.10 baby. But it's currently 9am and no signs of any contractions.... no baby today!

We were super productive though... dog got a bath, both cars got washed and vacuumed, car seat bases were installed in both cars, BOB stroller was folded up and stored in Ryan's car, and we did grocery shopping for the week plus some freezer meals.

Obviously I have heinously swollen ankles to show for it, but we're finally ready for Baby Girl to get here. Spending the rest of the evening watching HBO with my feet up :-)

I keep saying I don't think Jaden's going to make it until his due date either ;) at least not if he's like his momma and daddy. To be honest at this point as long as he's healthy and ready...bring it on ;) I'm ready! My body is at that achy last few weeks of pregnancy stage too...best of luck to you mamma!! Hopefully she'll come soon!

I think the last days are the hardest. You are so ready to meet that baby, you get bigger so fast and every day you spend wondering if it is "the day"! I was afraid to eat because I thought I'd get sick if I happened to go into labor (and I did). Just try to enjoy the last days you have as a couple...things will never be the same again, even when you are an empty nester.

Sit back and relax while you can. Once little baby girl is here you will be very busy :)

Well, I'm dying here!! How does it feel to have finally paid off your CCCS account?? I know all the excitement lately is due to your impending bundle of joy (rightfully so!), but don't forget to take the time to celebrate your other huge accomplishment! Congrats!!

Hey Anon - Thanks!!! We did celebrate our CCCS payoff on Saturday night with a fancy dinner out and it was pretty great. Truthfully, I thought I'd be more excited about it, but Ryan and I both just feel like a huge weight has been lifted... and instead of "OMGGGG", the general feeling around our household is "ahhhh... finally".

I'm waiting until I get the final statements (seeing $0 where the balance should be is pretty amazing) to really be excited!

I was secretly hoping for a 10-10-10 baby even though that'd be just a little earlier than I'd prefer my girl to come out. Now I'm focusing on a 10-20-2010 baby. That'd be a cool date too! Haha. I feel like everyone due around the same time as me has either gone into labor already or WILL go into labor before me though. Your midwife told you she didn't think you'd make it to your due date...I'm jealous. My doctor seems to think Ava will be cooking for quite some time based on his comments. PS - my feet are ridiculously swollen too. I was hoping it was a sign that labor was on its way...but now I think its just a sign that I need to stop shopping.
