It's too early for a belly picture, so just the stats will have to do for today. I promise a picture next week for the big 3-0!
We had our growth ultrasound yesterday and it went awesome. We got to see Baby Girl practicing breathing and her little turtle tongue kept poking out... it was the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life. The tech was able to get us an awesome profile shot and it looks like Baby Girl might have Ryan's chin. I love Ryan's chin, so I'm super excited about that (and thrilled that she has one, since I basically don't). She was, as usual, practicing her kickboxing and I got to see which of her body parts were jabbing mine.
As of yesterday, she's measuring about 2 weeks ahead (!!!!) and is in the 87th percentile for size. She weighs a whopping 3.5 lbs already! But everything looked absolutely perfect, which was so great to hear. I asked whether or not she'd make an early appearance, based on the fact that she's measuring ahead, and the doctor just said "She'll get here when she gets here". So we'll see...
What's new at 29 weeks...
I feel huge. I can't get up out of bed without rolling to the edge and then dropping my leg and if we're laying on the floor, I need Ryan to get up first and help me. I can't bend at the waist at all, so I need help with socks, shoes with buckles, and sometimes putting on pants. There is an hourly kickboxing class held in my uterus... and some of the jabs make me catch my breath! I have a full-on double chin. Ryan told me that I've started waddling. I officially hit the +30 lb mark (at 29 weeks, whoops). But you know what's funny? I love it. I'm slower and sweat more and waking up 3x a night to pee isn't really the highlight of my evenings, but I am happy. I feel like I'm good at being pregnant.
I know that when people ask me how I'm feeling, they're hoping I tell them something juicy and that they are genuinely surprised when I say I feel great. But it's the honest to goodness truth :-) I do!
