Random List

Ryan would spend his paycheck at the movies if I let him. I don't mean years ago like when we worked at the recreation center on our college campus and made $8 an hour. I mean now. His big boy, real world paycheck. The one we use to pay rent.

I mean, I love movies, but I don't love them that much. I enjoy the types of movies that make a movie buff (such as my husband) cringe.... movies like Save the Last Dance and Legally Blond. I'm not really one for anything that is overly political, historical, filmed in black & white, or sad. I do not do sad movies. In general, I like my movies funny, scary, and with dancing. Any movie with dancing is good - Honey was really good. Stop, you know you liked it, too. That and Center Stage. Generally, anything where the main charactor looks like this is good:

Gratuitous Harry Potter. Yum.

OK, back to the original reason for this post - there are a TON of movies coming out that I am dying to see. I figure I could post my list of movies here and check them off one by one.... and no worries, we won't be blowing our paychecks on movies this summer. The movie place by us does $5 tickets before noon on Saturdays and Sundays!

The List:

  • Adventureland
  • Knowing
  • The Last House on the Left
  • Confessions of a Shopaholic (I heard it wasn't great but I LOVED the books)
  • Bride Wars - seen 5/2/09, On Demand, REVIEW
  • Obsessed - April 24
  • Star Trek - seen 5/19/09, at the theater, REVIEW
  • Angels & Demons - May 15
  • Dance Flick - May 22 (I know. But given my love for dance movies, I must see this)
  • The Proposal - June 19
  • Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - June 24
  • HARRY POTTER - July 17!!!!!!!
  • GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra - August 7
  • Post Grad - August 21
  • Sorority Row - October 2
So here's the deal - I'll keep a link to this in the side bar so it's easily accessible. I'll leave reviews for each movie we see and probably add to the list as more movies come out. Here's to a Blockbuster Summer!

I want to see bride wars too! I have to wait until it is on DVD now that Cooper is too big to sleep through a movie in the theater! I usually rent a chick flick when the hubs goes out of town. Looking forward to your reviews!

The Transformers' sequel and Harry Potter are on our FOR SURE list too.
Some movies simply MUST be seen on the big screen with big sound.
