This is terrible.

My super cool job sometimes leads to 12 hour work days. Know what 30.5 week pregnant ankles and toes look like after 12 hours at work?

This:

FYI - that is so not normal. I actually have ankles, though you'd never know it judging from this picture. Also, I can't bend down to take off the purple polish, much less touch it up, so forgive me on that. Oh, and my toes look kind of white because I like to put baby powder in my flat shoes to keep my feet from sweating.

9 more weeks.... 9 more weeks.... 9 more weeks.....
PS - My ankles looked normal this morning when I woke up, thanks to my midwife's advice of hydrating (I did spend all night peeing though) and laying on my left side. I also slept with my feet elevated on a pillow. Thank God the swelling went down, because otherwise they wanted to see me in the office to test for pre-eclampsia, something I am trying to avoid at all costs (even though I know you can't really avoid it at all).

Katie that is too funny! I havent had anything quit that bad but when my feet do swell I put an ice pack on them and elevate, it is the best feeling ever! A few hours later they are like new :)

Good luck

This happened to me when I was pregnant with my first child. I called them sausage toes because they looked like those little sausages you put in BBQ sauce. Anyway, my feet swelled so badly, I could only wear a pair of backless Keds with the shoelaces removed. Afterward, even with the shoelaces pulled as tight as they would go, those shoes wouldn't stay on my feet :)

Hang in there!

If my memory serves me correctly there was a toe ring cut off previously. And it does look like that chubby toe needs some breathing room. :)

Ouch! That looks like it hurts! I had a knee injury in highschool that had to be kept in a brace and for months if I was on my feet too long my knee and leg would swell all the way down to my shoe, it was awful!
