and it immediately struck a cord with me. I'm still thinking about it (obv.; here I am posting about it). I know it's true, and yet, I can't help but think that I'm way behind on this whole "grown-up" thing... no high paying jobs, no mortgage... that kind of feels like failure. Hmm.
Less depressing post tomorrow. Promise.

Oh, Kate, you aren't a failure! In my book, succes is SO not measured by your job or your mortgage...I care about who you are as a person. And you seem pretty sweet to me. :)

Don't get too caught up in what you think you need to be doing the right thing. We've had a series of mortgages (we've moved several times)and truthfully, renting doesn't sound all that bad to me-if it was a place I liked. Being able to call someone else when something breaks, not paying huge real estate taxes...not all bad.
